Kamal Haasan is the only Indian actor to have knowledge of all the 24 crafts of film making. He sang so many songs in his films, but for the first time, he lent his voice to sing a song for a film starring another hero.
Reportedly, Kamal sang a song under Ilayaraaja’s music direction for young hero Gautham Karthik’s(‘Kadali’ fame) forthcoming film Muthu Ramalingam. It is said that maestro Ilaiyaraja himself suggested Kamal’s names for this title song. When Ilaiyaraja called up, Kamal could say no so he went to the studio and recorded the song.
Muthu Ramalingam also has Gautham Karthik’s father, senior actor Karthik, teaming up with his son for the first time in his career. Actress Priya Anand, who paired with Gautham in his earlier film Vai Raja Vai, is pairing with him again in this movie as his leading lady.
