Director Bobby scored a hit with his debut film Power starring Ravi Teja. He thanked Ravi many times for introducing him as a hit director. Even after the flop of Sardar Gabbar Singh, he planned a movie with Ravi Teja. As he is on the world tour with family, he waited for a right script and came up with the movie of Jai Lava Kusa exclusively for Ravi Teja. After returning from tour, Ravi has agreed two other films due to prior commitments. As a result, the script of Jai Lava Kusa went to NTR Jr from Ravi and this movie became materialized. Also the producer Kalyan Ram is so excited with the plot and he wanted to produce this movie no matter what. Soon the movie was launched and the shooting is in progress at a rapid pace. For NTR, the script has undergone some changes to match the image of NTR.
Niveda Thomas and Rashi Khanna are the female leads in the movie. Music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad.
