If grapevine is to be believed, Superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming film Kabali is inspired from Hollywood blockbuster action thriller ‘Taken’.
Rajinikanth’s Kabali is all about a former gangster trying to locate the whereabouts of his daughter in Malaysia. The story has a striking resemblance to the subject of Taken, which traces the story of a former Secret Service agent, played by Liam Neeson, whose teenage daughter gets kidnapped by human trafficking mafia while on a trip to Paris.
With no clue about the whereabouts of his daughter, Neeson travels all the way to Paris to trace her.The gripping action thriller became a huge hit, and it had 2 sequels titled Taken 2 and 3.
Even though there is no official clarification, speculations are rife that Kabali is inspired from this only. Well, we can find out only when the film hits screens on July 1st.
