Harbhajan doubtful for 1st Test against Australia

NEW DELHI: India’s ace off-spinner Harbhajan Singh has not been recovered completely from a calf injury and remained doubtful to play the first Test against Australia in Mohali starting from Friday.

However, Team India skipper MS Dhoin said that final call on Bhajji would be taken on Friday morning.

Harbhajan sported a bandage while training on Monday and later underwent an MRI scan at a local hospital, raising doubts over his fitness even as physiotherapist Nitin Patel declined to comment.

The Jalandhar bowler has an envious record against Australia scalping 79 wickets from 14 Tests.
