Getting a national award for a movie is not so easy task. A director needs to sync all his crew to a certain level, where everyone’s work is evident. Praveen Sattaru, who made movies like LBW, Routine Love Story and Chandamama Kathalu for which a national award is given is coming up with another movie “Guntur Talkies” starring Rashmi Gautham, Siddhu Jonnalagadda, Naresh produced by Raj Kumar under RK Entertainments. Let’s see how it works on us.
Story
Hari (Sidhu Jonnalagadda) and Giri (Naresh) works in a medical shop in Guntur. Hari is a pervert who maintains illicit relationship with his neighbour aunty. Giri lives with his family whose wife elopes with a cloth store owner. They both do petty thefts in the houses when the owners go on vacation. Hari seduces Suvarna (Reshmi Gautham) who comes to her sister’s house who is in illicit relation with Hari. One day Hari and Giri unknowingly robs two packs of five lakhs each and a container which values one crore rupees. They both leaves Guntur and goes to Goa and Chennai respectively. How they get caught? How they solve the problems form the rest of the story.
Cast and Performance
Siddhu Jonnalagadda as Hari is superb. His performance is superb as a pervert. His mannerisms and dialogue modulation is more than nice to the character he is given. Rashmi Gautham is nice as Suvarna. She sets screen on fire with her glamorous acts and her skin show. Senior actor Naresh as Giri is excellent. It can be said as his career best performance. His mannerisms are superb. The way he blink eyes at regular intervals is good. Shraddha Das is more than good as Revolver Rani. Her acts in first half generate laughs in theatre.Mahesh Manjrekar is superb. Krishneswar Rao as Rashmi’s father is nice. Pavala Shyamala as Naresh’s mother is good. Raghu Babu, Tagubothu Ramesh, Fish Venkat are hillarious. Guest appearances of Lakshmi Manchu and Chaitanya Krishna are good. Other actors did justice to their respective roles.
Writing Department
Basic story of Guntur Talkies is good and is similar to Delhi Belly and some other movies. Screenplay is crsipy and nice. The way the movie is run with adult elements is good. Dialogues are superb and are situational.
Technical Departments
Songs composed by Sri Charan is good. He did magic with his superb background score. He is in good form with Kshanam and Guntur Talkies now. Cinematography by Ram Reddy is good. Editing by Dharmendra Kakarala js crispy and nice. Production Values are good.

Verdict:
Movie begins with the introduction of Naresh and his family life followed by Siddhu’s character. Lot of adult scenes with adult jokes takes place. The way Praveen Sattaru designed the characters in the movie is fantastic. Praveen Sattaru mixed super humour in the scenes he has written. This half ends with both Hari and Giri escaping from Guntur after stealing money. Second half starts with people around Hari and Giri realising the loss they incur with Hari and Giri’s petty thefts. The movie sometimes seem to be a copy of Delhi Belly. Director Praveen Sattaru is to be appreciated for giving importance each and every character he has written to run the movie. Picturisation of song between Rashmi Gautham and Siddhu which comes in the second half is superb which attracts youth for its super hot show. This movie does not appeal to family audience. It is stictly written to attract youth and adult comedy lovers. To sum up watch this Guntur Talkies movie if you like movies like Delhi Belly like movies. It’s strictly “A” certified entertainer.
