Fate of any actor or a director changes with every movie they make and every choice they opt. Gopichand was in a good form with his family entertainer “Loukhyam” and stylish entertainer “Jil” but Soukhyam under A S Ravi Kumar Chowdary direction sent him back into flop form. He is now coming with Goutham Nanda under the direction of Sampath Nandi, who made Emaindhi Ee Vela, Racha and Bengal Tiger. This movie is produced by Bhagavan and Pullarao under Balaji Cine Media which has Catherine Tresa and Hansika Motwani as female leads. We have seen Gopichand in a very stylish look in the posters and trailers which is very appealing. Let’s see how it works on audience.
Story
Ghattamaneni Goutham (Gopichand) is the son of the chairman of G Group of industries. He is going to become the chairman of G group and he decides to enjoy as much as possible before that and goes on a world tour. After that, he comes across a waiter (Thanikella Bharani) in a restaurant and the fuss between them makes Gautham more angrier and he goes in his car with over speed and hits Nanda (Gopichand). They both swap their characters as they both look alike and Nanda who is poor got addicted to the rich and lavish life of Gautham and he disagree to go back to his own life. What happened with the waiter? Why Nanda and Gautham swap their characters? How Gautham gets back his life and family? forms the rest of the story.
Cast and Performance
Gopichand is excellent in his two roles as Gautham and Nanda. He is at ease in his character as Nanda and his body language works well with the character. His stylish look added more depth to the character of Gautham. Catherine Tresa is good as Mughda and Hansika is gorgeous. Thanikella Bharani is superb in his limited role as waiter. Vennela Kishore and Bithiri Sathi gives some humorous moments to audience. All other actors did according to the roles they are given.
Writing Department
Story line of Gautham Nanda is interesting and it is not developed into an exciting one. Screenplay is good and falls flat at places. Dialogues by Sampath Nandi are good.
Technical Departments
Songs composed by S S Thaman are good and his background score is superb at places and is okay in some sequences. Cinematography by Soundararajan is fantastic and he has given rich and stylish visuals which are eye appealing and made the movie more colorful. Editing should have been much better and some unnecessary scenes could have cut. Action sequences are composed well and they work well with the masses. Production values are rich and apt.

Gautham Nanda is a movie which deals with money and it’s evil effects on people. It deals with the concept of the whole world which only runs with money and is the root of the world. It is said by taking two contrast characters Gautham and Nanda, where one is ultra rich and one is poor. The whole plot of this movie takes a turn when Gautham and Nanda meet. Director Sampath Nandi has taken an interesting plot for Gautham Nanda but he failed to write a convincing and engaging screenplay. This movie could have done well with the audience if it has a gripping screenplay as required. How a person is changed with the money is shown well in this movie and it is the core of Gautham Nanda. To sum up, Sampath Nandi succeeded well in giving career best look for Gopichand but failed in giving best movie.
