Mrinal Sen is an Indian filmmaker based in Kolkata. Along with his contemporaries Satyajit Ray and Ritwik Ghatak, he is often considered to be one of the greatest ambassadors of Indian parallel cinema who has made us proud. He has been the top filmmaker on Indian screen. The living legend is facing some health problems but on Thursday, rumors circulating around Mrinal Sen’s death surfaced on social media and it made everyone believe that the veteran filmmaker was no more. But there is no truth in that news.
Upset with these rumors, the film maker’s family gave a media statement. “News (passing away) is false, he is absolutely fine and having tea right now.” revealed the family members in a statement. So, with this, the rumors on the filmmaker came to an end.
