After making the controversial comments over “leaving the country,” Aamir now is summoned by the Kanpur court ordering for his presence in the court on December 1st.
Aamir, who was invited as a guest in a news channel’s award function held on Monday, was questioned about the intolerance in India. Reacting to the question, Aamir said, “As an individual, as part of this country as a citizen, we read in the papers what is happening, we see it on the news, and certainly, I have been alarmed. I can’t deny. I have been alarmed by a number of incidents. When I chat with Kiran at home, she says, ‘Should we move out of India?’ That’s a disastrous and big statement for Kiran to make. She fears for her child. She fears what the atmosphere around us will be. She feels scared to open the newspapers every day.”
This statement of his was taken as the headlines and was lashed against Aamir Khan for uttering the word “Move out of India.” His comments that sparked off a huge controversy trended all day on Twitter. Few celebrities supported Aamir for speaking his mind; few opposed him.
