That Anu Emmanuel is the flavour of the season is well known. While her first releases were Majnu and Kittu Unnadu Jagratha, the yet-to-be released Oxygen was the first Telugu film she signed. Meanwhile, the actress has signed Pawan Kalyan’s next with Trivikram too. And the latest is that she is reportedly roped in to play the female lead in Allu Arjun’s next, Naa Peru Surya.
A source close to the unit said, “The film is something very new for the hero and the makers have been searching for an unconventional name to co-star with him as the female lead. While Anu Emmanuel has become a popular name, she hasn’t got the star image that an actress in an Allu Arjun film would generally have. However, she’s got an edge because of the freshness she brings to the table.”
The directorial debut of well-known writer, Vakkantham Vamsi, the film is touted to have an elaborate travel episode weaved in.
