Baahubali 2 to break all the records on its opening day -First Day Collections

The buzz around Baahubali 2 is on all time high as several distributors are describing the release of this epic drama as one of the biggest cinematic moment in the modern era of Indian cinema. There is an unprecedented demand amongst the audiences for this SS Rajamouli directorial, and the same has resulted in cinema owners down South scheduling the first show of the film as early as 6 am.

The movie is set to get the widest worldwide release of all time and is expected to create records which might not be challenged in the near future. While the first installment released as an underdog in Hindi market, the distributors are going all out by blocking over 3500 screens for Hindi dubbed version of the film, which is going to be the highest of 2017 so far.

In 2015, Baahubali: The Beginning (Telugu + Tamil + Malayalam + Hindi) created a big opening day record by collection approximately Rs 50 crore (Gross). With the second installment, the collections are expected to multiply further and given the excitement amongst the audiences, we are expecting an earth-shattering opening day above Rs 80 crore.

The current record holder for highest opening day (Gross) of all time is Prem Ratan Dhan Payo which collected approximately Rs 55 crore followed by Rajinikanth’s Kabali which raked in Rs 53 crore. In terms of highest collection on a single day, it is Aamir Khan’s Dangal that raked in approximately Rs 59 crore (Gross) on its third day i.e. Sunday.

Baahubali: The Conclusion (Telugu + Tamil + Malayalam + Hindi) will shatter both the records with ease upon its release this Friday.
