Actress Anushka Shetty (born 7 November 1981), who works predominantly in Telugu and Tamil films. She made her acting debut through the 2005 Telugu film Super. She went on to star in a number of Telugu films such as Vikramarkudu, Arundhati, Vedam, and Baahubali: The Beginning. After starring in a series of high-budget productions, she established herself as one of the leading actresses in Telugu cinema.

Controversies– It’s been a decade since Anushka Shetty entered the industry and it looks like the actress has finally come into her own. In Chennai to promote Baahubali which will be a showcase film for the actress. She says she is proud of how it has shaped up. “I am sure it’s going to be a benchmark for Indian cinema. Rajamouli garu has proved himself in this genre. I haven’t dubbed for the movie since it is a period film and the dialects are hard to get right. But I performed all the stunts on my own. I didn’t use a body-double,” she says.
Anushka Shetty had earlier stood up for her make-up artist when he was chided by Tamil Film Workers Union.
During the shooting of Karthi’s Alex Pandian, about 30 members protested against the actress for hiring a make-up artist from other state and demanded the actress’ artist to register her name in their guild. However, Karthi intervened to resolve the issue and had asked Anushka’s make-up artist to leave the sets. But the actress, who was hurt by the incident, is now managing on the make-up part on her own and has not hired anyone for the job.
