Malayali actress Amala Paul and her husband, Tamil film director AL Vijay have today filed for divorce with mutual consent at a principal family court in Chennai. Just a couple of weeks ago, the reports of cracks in the marriage emerged in media and here we got the proof that the divorce has become imminent.
Amala Paul and Vijay fell in love on the sets of Deiva Thirumagal, which was directed by Vijay and had Amala in a key role. After having a serious relationship for some time, the celeb couple tied the knot in 2014. Of late, there were reports that Vijay’s parents opposed Amala’s decision to act in films post marriage and iteventually led to cracks in the couple’s relationship.
It is also gossiped that Amala is seeing a Punjabi designer based in New Delhi. Vijay has recently issued a press statement saying that his marriage is ending due to breach of trust.
