Akshay Kumar already made films like “Baby”, “Airlift” and “Rustom”, and is now gearing up for yet another interesting film which reveals the story about India’s first Olympic medal post independence. The film is titled as “Gold“. Akshay Kumar confirmed the news on Twitter and shared a picture of the title. “Set in 1948, the historic story of India’s first Olympic medal as a free nation, GOLD coming to you on 15th August 2018!” wrote Akshay Kumar.
Reema Kagti will helm the film Gold. India’s first Olympic medal win, post independence, came in 1948 at Games of the XIV Olympiad, London. The entire episode of that phase will be revealed on the screen. Akshay Kumar is collaborating with Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment for the film.
